Hockey
The
Mount Everett Hockey team is a cooperative program between Mount Everett,
Monument Mountain, Lee, and Lenox High Schools. The hockey team was first
established as a varsity program in the 1998-1999 season and won Hennessey
League Championships in the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 seasons. Many of the
student-athletes from the Mount Everett Hockey team have gone on to play
college hockey, including Division I Union College.
Participation from all four of the cooperative schools is vital to the teams success. The unique makeup of the team allows players to build friendships and create bonds with students from other schools. The program is built on the principals of teamwork, dedication, and hard work.
The team plays their home games at the Jackman L. Stewart Athletic Center, which is a state of the art facility located at Berkshire School. Each year the schedule consists of 16-20 games with the goal of extending that total in the Western Mass. Playoffs.
