Rotary Interact
Interact is a service club for your ages 12 to 18 who want to connect with other young people and have fun while serving their communities and learning about the world. Clubs, which meet at least twice a month, are sponsored by local rotary clubs. Interact clubs organize two projects every year , one that helps their school or community and the other that promotes international understanding. Members of sponsor Rotary clubs mentor Interactors as they carry out the project and develop leadership skills. Rotarian mentor, Scott Rote and teacher liaison, Señora Spitia.
The Great Barrington Rotary club of Massachusetts hosted a special luncheon and welcome ceremony for the new Mount Everett Interact members at Crissey Farm. The students received a certificate and a pin and are ready to start community and international projects. They have already volunteered at the Flag Ceremony in Sheffield, Ma and they are presently working to help children in need in our community for the holidays. Congratulations to all of them for stepping up and being a part of this great international organization!

On November 2016: Interactors volunteered and participated in the Barnard “Park of Honor” dedication celebration. They helped set the flags for the veterans and help with the clean up.
On December 2016: Helping Hands project; the Interactors donated and collected presents from holidays wish lists to help children of the community.
On March 2017: Literacy Night at the elementary school; Interactors volunteer their time to developed a vocabulary game to promote literacy for younger children and help them gain confidence.
