Click here Remote Learning Lake Valley Education remote art lessons The Massachusetts All-State Chorus recorded this video performing one of their songs. Mt. Everett student Jake Martin was involved in this recording. On Saturday Feb 8th, all band and chorus students participated in our annual Cabaret production. Attendees were treated to a dinner and a show, featuring students singing solos, duets, and full ensemble acts. The event is a fundraiser for the music department. Thanks to all who participated!
Senior musician Jake Martin was accepted to sing in the Massachusetts All-State Choir. The ensemble rehearses for three days in Boston, before performing at Symphony Hall. Congrats Jake!
8 Students from the Mt. Everett Choral Program auditioned for and were accepted into the Senior Western District Honors Choir. This year the enemble is direction of Dr. Sandra Howard of Keene State University. Students who participated were Sarah Markham, Elisabeth Enoch, Mickey Masters, Devon Wagner, Jeremiah Tomascak, Jake Martin, Micah Ketchen, and Jake Martin.
On Thursday, December 19th, The Mt. Everett Madrigals and Jazz Band participated in a tour to local community area. We started with New Marlborough Central School, performing for all the students there. Then, we traveled to Connecticut and performed at Geer Retirement Village. Finally, we traveled back to Sheffield and performed at the Sheffield Senior Center.
On Saturday December 7th, The Madrigal Singers performed at the New Marlborough Holiday Fair, performing a half-hour set entirely from memory. They will also be performing on Friday at the Alford Tree Lighting, at 5:00pm.
On October 11, 2019 Mount Everett students created a shadow performance after their dance/art workshop with Berkshire Pulse teaching artist, Tom Truss and multi-media performing art group, Cave Dogs. They performed their piece at Simon's Rock as part of the Daniel's Art Party. This workshop was generously funded in part by the Eagle Fund. 8 Mt. Everett Senior High School students were accepted make into the Senior Western District Honors Choir. They auditioned November 2nd at Westfield State Saturday, and they will rehearse and perform at UMass Amherst on January 11th. The Western District of the Massachusetts Music Education Association extends from Belchertown to Berkshire County. Students accepted were Sarah Markham, Elisabeth Enoch, Mickey Masters, Devon Wagner, Jeremiah Tomascak, Andrew Haiss, Micah Ketchen, and Jake Martin (not pictured). |
